Description
Hearty and comforting oat bran cereal is a healthy breakfast that can be made in just 10 minutes. With simple, healthy ingredients this makes a great meal for young eaters!

- 2/3 cup oat bran (I use Bob's Red Mill)
- 2 cups water
- 1 large apple, cubed
- 1 tablespoon lemon
- 1-2 tablespoons cinnamon
- pinch of nutmeg
- pinch salt
- spoon of greek yogurt or cottage cheese
- optional: 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Instructions
- Cook the oat bran according to instructions.
- Toss cubed apples with lemon, cinnamon, and with optional brown sugar if using.
- Heat a saucepan to medium/low heat and add the apples. Cook them down as much as desired. I leave it for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- To serve: layer a bowl with the oat bran, cooked apples, and the greek yogurt.
- Eat and enjoy! This warm cereal is best fresh.
